Page, Larry Page, Larry (born 1973)

Larry Page, along with Sergey Brin, co-founded one of the most popular internet search engines: 'Google'.

Page grew up in Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in engineering, focussed mainly on computer engineering. He moved onto Stanford University to study a PhD in computer science. It was here that Page met Sergey Brin, another student.

The two students began working on a search engine called 'BackRub' in 1996. This developed into Google, which began operating in 1998 as Google Inc.

In 2006 Larry Page was ranked 27 among The World's Richest People
