Sergey Brin, along with Larry Page, co-founded one of the most popular internet search engines: 'Google'.
Brin was born in Moscow, Russia in 1973, but emigrated to the United States in 1979. He studied mathematics and computer science at the University of Maryland and went on to study a PhD in computer science at the University of Standford. This is where he met Larry Page.
The two students began working on a search engine called 'BackRub' in 1996. This developed into Google, which began operating in 1998 as Google Inc.
In 2006 Sergey Brin was ranked 26 among The World's Richest People.
