The shelves hold a large number of early telephones, including a pair of the experimental telephones designed by Philipp Reis in Germany in the early 1860s and an example of Bell's 'gallows frame' telephone of 1875. There are many items here received from BT as part of the Connected Earth transfer programme.
Visits to Blythe House are by pre-arranged tour or individual appointment.
