Inventing a 'hands free' device

You need hands - for writing, searching through files and typing. That's why engineer Mr Leslie Sutton has invented this cheap, simple handset holder that enables people to talk on the phone and have both hands free.

Mr Sutton - he comes from Leicester, but now lives in Melbourne, Australia - feels it would be useful for handicapped people and has potential in both the office and the home.

The device which fits on standard desk telephones and has been approved by Australia Telecom, which runs the country's telephone service, is being tested by various organisations for handicapped people.
